Building on its growing family of openGear products, AJA Video Systems unveiled three new openGear cards at IBC 2019, including the OG-FS-Mini, OG-ROI-DVI and OG-ROI-HDMI. OG-FS-Mini fuses the functionality of AJA's newly announced FS-Mini frame synchronizer Mini-Converter with the openGear architecture, while OG-ROI-DVI and OG-ROI-HDMI support DVI or HDMI to SDI region-of-interest scaling, scan conversion and image rotation in the openGear format. Each card is designed for use in openGear 2RU frames including AJA's OG-X-FR 2RU frame, and can be remotely configured, monitored and controlled over a PC or local network using Ross DashBoard software.
Production is booming across broadcast, OTT and proAV, increasing the demand for reliable, compact conversion solutions. Our new OG-FS-Mini, OG-ROI-DVI and OG-ROI-HDMI openGear cards address this need with powerful frame synchronization and region-of-interest image scaling, with remote configuration and control in the openGear architecture, explained Nick Rashby, President, AJA Video Systems.
OG-FS-Mini
OG-FS-Mini is an openGear compatible card from AJA that facilitates frame synchronization and up/down/cross-conversion of SD, HD and 3G video signals for high density openGear deployments. The card features a 3G-SDI input and outputs 3G-SDI and HDMI simultaneously, with two 3-pin terminal block connectors for balanced analog audio outputs.
OG-ROI-DVI and OG-ROI-HDMI
Featuring extensive audio functionality, incredible image scaling and aspect and frame rate conversion, OG-ROI-DVI and OG-ROI-HDMI enables, high quality conversion of computer DVI or HDMI outputs to baseband video over SDI. Region of interest support allows professionals to easily extract computer and video source signals for scan convert, scaling and conversion to SDI.
