As the weather warms up, streaming services are offering more hot content for their customers. Series like Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, The Offer and The Handmaid's Tale are all available to stream on Showmax this month. Here are a few international series to check out on Showmax in September.

THE HANDMAID'S TALE' SEASON FIVE The Handmaid's Tale is adapted from Margaret Atwood's 1985 novel of the same name. In season five of the series, June (Elisabeth Moss) faces the consequences of killing Commander Waterford (Joseph Fiennes) while struggling to redefine her purpose in life.

Serena (Yvonne Strahovski), who is now a widow, is attempting to build her profile in Toronto as Gielead's influence makes a subtle appearance in Canada.

Episodes of The Handmaid's Tale season five will be available every Thursday from 15 September.

INDUSTRY' SEASON TWO Industry, created by former bankers Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, follows Harper (Myha'la Herrold), Yasmin (Marisa Abela) and Robert (Harry Lawtey) who are new to the banking industry. In season two, they struggle to hide behind their graduate status as their worlds take a turn.

The series has been hailed as a millennial Mad Men with plenty of swagger the kind of thrillingly fresh series that only comes along once every few years.

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS: ORIGINAL SIN' Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin revives the hit teen franchise with a new setting and a dark turn into a new world. The series features a few new faces in Hollywood including Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Mallory Bechtel and popular YouTuber Alex Aiono.

The series has been described as the next great teen drama .

THE OFFER' The Offer is a biographical drama series inspired by Oscar-winning producer Albert S Ruddy's experience of the making of The Godfather. Hollywood stars Miles Teller, Matthew Goode, June Temple, Giovanni Ribisi and Colin Hanks and Dan Fogler all feature in The Offer.

THE STAIRCASE' The Staircase, inspired by a true story, is an eight-part series that explores the life of Michael Peterson, a crime writer accused of killing his wife Kathleen after she was found dead at the bottom of their staircase in their home.

The Guardian has hailed the series as riveting and practically fizzling with tension .

The Staircase will be available to stream on Showmax from 15 September.

WE OWN THIS CITY' Co-created by David Simon and George Pelecanos, We Own This City explores the rise and fall of the Baltimore Police Department's Gun Trace Task Force. The series adapted from Justin Fenton's non-fiction book of the same name has bagged a 93% critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The series stars Emmy nominee Josh Charles, Screen Actors Guild nominee Jon Bernthal and The Wire stars Jamie Hector, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Domenick Lombardozzi and Trey Chaney.

GEORGE CARLIN'S AMERICAN DREAM' George Carlin's American Dream was directed by Emmy winners Judd Apatow and Michael Bonfiglio and has been nominated for five Emmy Awards this year. The two-part documentary is described by Stephen Colbert as the Beatles of comedy .

Carlin's illustrious comedy career included 14 HBO comedy specials and more than 100 appearances on The Tonight Show until his death in 2008.

BOSCH' SEASON SEVEN Bosch is based on Michael Connelly's 2014 novel, The Burning Room. The series sees Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver) investigating the death of a 10-year-old girl. The final season of Bosch sees Lance Reddick and Madison Lintz returning for their Emmy-nominated roles as Irvin Irving and Maddie Bosch.
