9 January 2017: RT to broadcast all of Irelands Womens Rugby World Cup games across all platforms

RT reaches agreement with eir Sport to sub-licence TV rights to Ireland games and RWC Final

RT also secures live radio rights for the tournament from World Rugby

RT today announced that it has secured the rights to broadcast all of Ireland s Women s Rugby World Cup games plus the WRWC Final across TV, radio and online this August.

RT has reached an agreement with eir Sport to sub-licence all of Ireland's Women's Rugby World Cup games as well as the Final in Kingspan Stadium, Belfast on a non-exclusive basis. The tournament which takes place in August this year is being held in Ireland for the first time and viewers can follow the host nation's progress throughout, live and free-to-air on RT 2 and RT Player.

Ireland's pool games in the UCD Bowl, Dublin against Australia on 9 August, Japan on 13 August and France on 17 August will be live on RT 2 and RT Player. RTE will also broadcast Ireland s knock-out and final placing matches live on RTE 2 and the RTE Player.

The Final on Saturday 26 August in Kingspan Stadium, Belfast will also be live on RT 2 and RT Player.

Separately RT has secured radio rights for the tournament from World Rugby with details to be announced at a later date.

eir Sport has the rights to broadcast every game from the tournament and will broadcast all the Ireland games live also.
