Join us at the IBC 2013 Sporty Evening!

Sport in Amsterdam, is that a euphemism?

No absolutely not! Following on from the amazing sports evening held in Las Vegas at the NAB show we are once again hosting an evening of friendly sporting action. We have secured the exclusive use of 2 big sport's halls in the centre of Amsterdam so please come and join us for a couple of hours of fun on Sunday night straight after the show. All fitness levels and abilities welcome!

What games will be played?

We will be playing some friendly 5-aside football, some volleyball and hopefully a spot of basketball (come feel the Object Matrix Heat!).

How much will it cost?

It's free!! We will provide a free bus ride for the short distance from the RAI. We will provide free food and drinks, and a t-shirt during the evening that will no doubt become a much sought after collectors item in the future.

Why is it free, is there a catch?

No time-share presentations to sit through here! It is being sponsored by industry professionals with a common goal of having a night (or rather a couple of hours) off beer. This includes Object Matrix (near-line storage experts), AA Media (Dutch broadcasting consultants), Cambridge Imaging Systems (Media Asset Management and publishing software), Vidispine (API driven MAM backbone providers), Glookast (Experts in media Ingest tools) and Trade-Fair (Very cool exhibition people).

Where do I meet and what do I bring?

You will need your normal sports kit and trainers and a towel if you are of the showering after doing sport type. it will be indoors (at Sporthallen Zuid, Burgerweeshuispad 54). However the bus will leave at 6.15pm from the RAI meeting point @ P8.

PLEASE DON'T BE LATE!!

We also recommend that everybody has the free Public Transport tickets with them (to leave the Sports Venue). these can be obtained from the RIA reception/information desk during their normal hours. There are plenty of trams to the city centre from outside the sports venue after the event.

To clarify that after leaving the Sports-venue, drinking is at own cost

Anything else I need to know??

We had a very successful and fun time doing the same thing at NAB, much fun was had by all. However physical activity can be a dangerous thing, so please note that all participation IS DONE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Where do I sign up?

We can do a maximum of 60 people (we will create 10 teams of 6) and as of today there are only 29 spaces left. It will be first come, first serve. Please only sign up if you are really serious about coming as we don't want to have people miss out. Contact us now on sales@object-matrix.com to confirm a place!
