Sony introduce the IER-M500

New in-ear monitors to launch in August 2026

Sony have announced the upcoming launch of a new pair of in-ear monitors that promise to deliver a secure, stable fit, impressive sound isolation and accurate, reliable monitoring, all at a very reasonable cost! Developed in collaboration with professional monitoring engineers, the IER-M500 are said to be the perfect partner for amateur, emerging and professional musicians alike, as well as performers and monitor engineers.

Designed for comfort and stability, and with careful consideration of shape and weight balance, the new arrivals combine Sony's original fitting supporters with noise-isolating earpieces, ensuring a secure, personalised fit. Four sizes of noise-isolating earpieces are included, allowing users to find the ideal fit for their ears, while a thin polyurethane wall enhances noise isolation while helping to deliver clearer-sounding audio and increased comfort during extended monitoring sessions. Flexible ear hangers and clips are also provided.

Drawing on Sony's decades of engineering prowess, the IER-M500 employ a fully sealed design and feature a large acoustic chamber that's said to produce deep, controlled bass, while its internal structure has been crafted with the aim of refining high-frequency reproduction. The design also promises to provide outstanding sound isolation, even in noisy live environments.

Pricing & Availability The IER-M500 will be available in August 2026, priced at $119.99£99 including VAT / 115. They will be available in three transparent colours - clear, black and a combined red and blue - and will come supplied with a detachable 1.6m cable.
