Astro launches Ulti Box, offering new connected HD experience

Astro introduces the Ulti Box, the latest addition in its series of connected boxes. Following the successful launch of Astro's 4K UHD Ultra Box where over 200,000 units have been installed, the Ulti Box will complement and further strengthen Astro's vision in providing a seamless connected box experience across all customer segments.

The Ulti Box is a sleek and compact set-top-box with HD and Wi-Fi capabilities and its brand new remote control makes navigating easy and intuitive.

With the Ulti Box, customers can expect the same innovative features available on the Ultra Box when it's connected to home Wi-Fi, such as streaming videos on demand, playing shows from start to overcome rain-fade issues, never missing any shows with convenient cloud recording, and most importantly, enjoying content in crisp HD. The major difference between the two set-top-boxes presently is that, the Ultra Box offers the 4K UHD experience for customers with 4K UHD TVs.

For existing customers, to ensure an upgraded home viewing experience, Astro is offering to swap non-Ultra Box customers to the Ulti Box at a lower installation charge of only RM49 vs RM99 for new customers.

As these boxes are best paired with Wi-Fi to unlock its comprehensive features, customers can also enjoy Astro & Broadband bundles for greater savings and the convenience of paying an all-in-one bill. All customers can get connected with Astro & Broadband from as low as RM6/day for 100Mbps and up to 102 channels.

Once connected to the internet, customers can stream top favourites like live Premier League and Champion League football matches, Korean drama Mr Queen (TVN), Chicago P.D S8 (AXN), The Rook Season 1 (HBO), The Good Doctor S4 (FOX Life), Armed Reaction 2021 (AOD), Marry Me Senorita (Astro Ria), Upin & Ipin and Ejen Ali (Astro Ceria) as well as on demand exclusive titles such as Roald Dahl's The Witches, and Mother To Be.
