Generations: The Legacy actress Refiloe Madumo has promised viewers more drama in the new season of Side Dish - where she plays the character of Amanda.

The Sunday night SABC1 drama series is centred around three women who become deadly killers overnight.

-- REFILWE MADUMO IN SIDE DISH' SEASON ONE Seasoned actress and content producer Refiloe Madumo who plays the character of RefilweMaponya in Mzansi's second-most-watched soapie Generations: The Legacy stars in Side Dish as Amanda.

The series was created by DiepCity creator Mandla N in 2018 and revolves around a group of women (Amanda, Sli, and Joyce) who accidentally murder a Ben 10.

The other women are played by Estate actress Jo-Anne Reyneke - who plays the character of Sli and House of Zwide's Matshepo Maleme - who plays Joyce.

The actress tells Sowetan that it's been an amazing journey so far.

I mean when we shot it three years ago I had not worked, focusing on my life. So, it was my first job after being away.

She also tells the publication that it's been incredible and the journey of her character including other characters in other TV shows has been interesting.

She feels privileged to be part of the show and admits that shooting the jail scenes in handcuffs and shackles was hectic.

I realised that my skin is sensitive. I would come back with bruises on my hands and feet [after shooting]. All in all, we did a great job as a cast.

PLAYING AMANDA IN SEASON TWO Viewers watched three women killing different people, some intentionally while others by accident in the first season.

Molemo explains that her character - Amanda wakes up in hospital after being shot by police in the second season.

Her character has been in jail for three years and does not know what happened to Sli and Joyce.

It turns out her two friends have been hiding in Swaziland and will be forced to return to SA by a family situation.

Molemo also tells the publication that Amanda hates every moment of sitting in that jail cell and is plotting to escape.
