Increasingly there are more homes who claim to be familiar with tools that block or filter the audiovisual content that children see. In particular, 65% of households with children or which are made usually charge of minors according to the latest Household Panel data of the CNMC for the second quarter of 2017. However, these tools were hardly used. In tablets and computers use was 20%, and, to a still lesser extent, in mobile phones and televisions. These figures are somewhat worrisome.
Concern about the exposure of minors to audiovisual content which harm their physical and mental development continues to be high, and stays between 80% and 90% in many cases, levels similar to the previous wave of 2016.
The violent content and those who can generate fear or distress are those who most concern to homes where there are children up to 6 years. In households with children under 7 to 11 years what most worries are also violent content and which are also dangerous behaviors that can be imitated by children. Households in which children are aged between 12 and 15 years are declared to be more concerned about the contents showing dangerous behaviour that teens can imitate and those containing violent, offensive, verbal expressions rude, intolerant or discriminatory. Households with 16-17 year olds showed greater concern related to alcohol, tobacco or drug content and behaviours that can be imitated by these children.
As for the hours in which there are probably children (of up to 12 years) watching TV alone, in general they coincide with the schedule of enhanced television child protection. An exception are the hours sitting on the weekends and holidays (between 4 pm and 6 pm) in which one in five households with children they probably watch TV without adult supervision, and however, only enhanced protection hours are from 9 am to 12 h.
Schedule of enhanced child protection establishes three slots with reference to the peninsular schedule: between 8 am and 9 am and between 17 and 20 hours for weekdays and between 9 and noon on Saturday , Sundays and State holidays. Content classified as recommended for over 13 years shall issue out of these stripes, maintaining throughout the broadcast of the programme that includes them callsign visual of age qualification as it is recorded in article 7.2 of the Act General Audiovisual Communication (LGCA).
Finally, 77% of households with children or that they are usually responsible for minors declared to know that programs that are broadcast on television have a rating by age. Of these, nearly 7 of every 10 said reporting the qualification by ages through visual signalling on the television screen. The websites of television channels, programming guides, Teletext, newspapers and magazines just were used by households for this purpose.

La encuesta de esta quinta oleada se llev a cabo en el segundo trimestre de 2017 e incluy a 4.937 hogares y 8.839 individuos. Esta herramienta aporta una informaci n amplia y diversa, y permite a la CNMC conocer mejor el punto de vista de los consumidores.
