WBTVG SETS NEW MULTI-FACETED OVERALL DEAL WITH THE BIG BANG THEORY STAR KALEY CUOCO

Warner Bros. Television Group has signed a multi-faceted new overall deal with The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco, which includes (1) a new pod deal for her production company, Yes, Norman Productions; (2) an agreement for her to star in and produce the upcoming one-hour series The Flight Attendant for the forthcoming WarnerMedia direct-to-consumer service; and (3) an additional talent holding provision for Cuoco's future acting services.

Per Studio policy, financial terms were not disclosed. WBTVG can confirm that it is an exclusive, multiyear agreement.

Under the terms of the new pod agreement, Cuoco and her Yes, Norman Productions team led by Senior Vice President Suzanne McCormack will continue to develop ideas for original television projects for broadcast, cable, on-demand/streaming and digital platforms via WBTVG divisions such as Warner Bros. Television, Warner Horizon Scripted Television, Warner Bros. Animation and digital venture Blue Ribbon Content. WBTVG and Cuoco/Yes, Norman previously signed an initial pod deal in 2017.

Cuoco and Yes, Norman are producing the upcoming Warner Horizon Scripted Television one-hour series The Flight Attendant, a thriller based on the novel by New York Times best-selling author Chris Bohjalian, for WarnerMedia's forthcoming direct-to-consumer service. With today's announcement, Cuoco is now confirmed to star in the show and will serve as an executive producer alongside Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter of Berlanti Productions, as well as Steve Yockey ( Supernatural ), who will adapt the novel. Suzanne McCormack is co-executive producer. Cuoco optioned The Flight Attendant for development in 2017 under her initial pod deal.

Additionally, Yes, Norman currently produces (alongside Justin Halpern & Patrick Schumacker's Ehsugadee Productions) the upcoming Warner Bros. Animation series Harley Quinn, for the DC Universe digital subscription service. Cuoco voices the role of the title character and serves as an executive producer (with Halpern, Schumacker, Dean Lorey and Sam Register) on the half-hour adult animated action-comedy.

Yes, Norman Productions has also acquired the rights to Sick Girl, a psychological thriller based on the novel from debut author Rachel Hargrove, and has a number of other projects with Warner Bros. in various stages of development.

The pact also includes a talent holding provision for Cuoco's future acting services, with WBTV developing new original series projects with an eye toward Cuoco starring.

The agreement extends Cuoco's relationship with the Studio that produced the blockbuster hit CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory, which signed off in May 2019 after 12 seasons and 279 episodes, making it the longest-running multicamera series in television history.
