Waves introduce Tracks Live 2.0

The next generation of multitrack recording for live sound

The latest version of Waves' dedicated live multitrack recording software delivers an array of improvements, and offers more in-depth integration with the company's LV1 consoles.

Tracks Live 2.0 is a ground-up rebuild of the popular software, and includes an assortment of new features that have been designed to make capturing live performances a fast, reliable and straightforward process. Supporting up to 128 channels of recording, the application combines multitrack capture and virtual soundcheck functionality with a set of built-in editing tools and flexible export options.

Designed to work with virtually any live sound platform, the software can be used alongside Waves eMotion LV1 systems as well as any non-Waves Core Audio or ASIO I/O configurations on both macOS and Windows systems. For Waves eMotion LV1 users, Tracks Live 2.0 offers particularly deep integration. With a single click, Tracks Live 2.0 can import routed LV1 channels along with their track names, patching, mono/stereo assignments and channel colours, eliminating much of the manual setup that's required by alternative software.

Once recording begins, scene changes on the LV1 are automatically captured as markers on the Tracks Live timeline, providing engineers with an organised visual reference without requiring markers to be entered manually during the show. The integration also extends to virtual soundchecks: Tracks Live 2.0 follows LV1 scene recalls during playback, allowing engineers to move through the recorded performance while maintaining the scene structure of the original show.
