Nokia wins coveted Red Dot and iF Design Awards

Nokia Design receives a total of 6 Red Dot Awards and 8 iF Awards

Nokia Networks Sustainable Packaging System awarded the Red Dot Best of the Best' distinction

Espoo, Finland - Nokia today announced it has won 6 Red Dot Awards and 8 iF Awards including a Best of the Best' distinction from Red Dot for its Nokia Networks Sustainable Packaging System which uses organic, biodegradable material, and reduces cost and waste.

The Red Dot jury acknowledged the simple, durable, modular and smart design, praising the packaging solution for minimizing landfill waste and environmental impact by utilizing 100% recycled fiber-based solutions as alternatives to foam and plastics, contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions due to less trash being burnt or ending up in the ocean.

The Best of Best' distinction is the highest accolade that can be received by Red Dot Product Design Award 2022 and is limited to 100 products from more than 17,000 entries.

In addition to the packaging solution award, Red Dot and iF recognized Nokia's broadband products including its 5G Gateway and WiFi app for controlling home networks, and a toolkit for designing next generation Nokia digital products and experience.
