In Super Quick Start mode, boot-up now takes less than a second: disc loading time and start-up of online services are quicker, too. Your journey to great entertainment is simpler than ever. A brand new user interface offers a neat, uncluttered view of apps and content services: customise the layout to see your favourite apps just the way you want to.
Your precious collection of Blu-ray Discs looks great, with plenty of punchy detail and vibrant colour. And with support for an even wider range of audio and video codecs, there are no limits to the kinds of content you can appreciate with great picture and sound quality. The player can even simulate 3D from ordinary 2D discs: pop on the glasses supplied with your 3D TV and get immersed with an extra dimension to your favourite movies and shows.
Fancy a super-size view of what's on your smartphone or tablet? Screen mirroring supersizes content from your mobile device to watch on the big screen. And since it's built into the Blu-ray Disc player itself, you can enjoy the benefits of screen mirroring on any connected HD TV.
Download Sony's TV SideView smartphone app (Android or iOS) and get even more from your Blu-ray Disc Player. Look up details about the movie or video youre watching; and control the player from your mobile's touchscreen.
The 2015 range of Blu-ray Disc Players from Sony is on sale in Europe from February 2015.
