Cultural consumption to promote the moonlight economy

Many tourists to Ningbo have such an impression: the city is very beautiful and clean. But the streets are a bit quiet after 9 pm. The city seems to lack a modern nightlife atmosphere of a thriving metropolis. How to make up for it? Ningbo now has decided to hold the first Ningbo Culture and Art Festival, namely Culture Consumption Month, to further create the urban cultural atmosphere, promote culture consumption and upgrade the cultural quality of the city.

It is learned that the activity will last from September to October. It aims to involve people in the culture activity and promote consumption. The whole culture and art festival consists of Singing and dancing, impression of Ningbo, reading in Ningbo and operas . The activities include elegant culture like China International Vocal Music competition, Broadway musicals and piano concert; there is also popular art shows like singing party for the 65th anniversary of New China, Yong Opera and Yue Opera. Besides, people can also participate in the selection of Songs of Ningbo Karaoke Carnival and Online Show of Youth Talent .

Hong Jiaxiang, director of Municipal Propaganda Department, pointed out that people in Ningbo are very enthusiastic about culture consumption. And there is a large space of cultural consumption. It is worth considering how to stimulate the potential of culture consumption, explore the market, promote the moonlight economy and accelerate the transformation of the city. Therefore, we should take this art festival as an important platform to promote culture consumption. The opening ceremony of the culture and art festival will be held together with Culture Night Fair .

An official from the organizing committee said, Moonlight economy reflects the vitality of the city. The purpose to hold culture and art festival is to invite more tourists to enjoy the beautiful night life in Ningbo while promoting moonlight economy. It is a requirement to upgrade the city as well as an embodiment of personal spiritual pursuit.
