Foundry today announced that Reel FX Animation Studios has adopted Flix to standardize their pipeline and streamline processes across departments. Flix is a visual storytelling and story development hub, uniting story, editorial, and production teams including Netflix, Marvel and Skydance to collaborate in one shared workspace. Designed to promote fast-paced creative collaboration, Flix is used by pre-production teams to bring order to the chaos of story development, by connecting teams and applications, centralizing assets, organizing versions, and tracking feedback. Reel FX started testing Flix to help alleviate common bottlenecks that slow down productions, particularly when the creative process is shared among teams and individual artists working in remote locations. The company is now using Flix, in tandem with Adobe Photoshop, for storyboarding on the animated feature Doctor Dolittle: King of the Wild, which it is creating in partnership with Sycamore Studios.
