London, UK - In a major exhibition at the 2015 DSEI, Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA) today revealed a full range of solutions for military care and treatment. Visitors to the Philips booth (#N8-178) will experience Philips' breadth of medical solutions across the military care continuum, from helping to educate and train medical teams before deployment, to providing lightweight, rugged medical solutions to help triage and diagnose at the point of injury, as well as providing rapidly deployable solutions for diagnosis and treatment for Role 1, 2, 2E, 3 and 4 hospitals.
At 10.30am on September 15th 2015, the first morning of DSEI, Philips, Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group and Brigadier Charlie Beardmore from the UK MOD are delighted to be celebrating the official opening of the world's first 128 slice CT scanner in a rapidly deployable, expandable container. Designed to provide advanced diagnostic capabilities closer to casualty receiving areas, this new, deployable, Queen's Award winning CT solution will be on display at the Philips stand.
We are continuously looking for new solutions to provide better care and treatment to those who serve and protect us. This solution enables faster diagnosis and treatment which we believe leads to better patient outcomes and more lives saved. The expandable Marshall shelter with the latest Philips Ingenuity 128-slice CT Scanner provides ultra-high resolution imagery in less than a minute, enabling fast diagnosis and essential surgery to take place quickly said Paul Cropper, Global Head Military and Disaster Relief, Philips.
At DSEI Philips will be displaying a wide range of health innovations that demonstrate Philips continuing commitment to improving military medical support. As health technology becomes increasingly central to providing improved patient experience and outcomes across the health continuum in primary, secondary and military care, Philips continues to look at new ways of supporting military personnel both in and out of combat.
Philips will also showcase its growing range of military technologies and solutions for enabling early, confident diagnosis and rapid, effective treatment, with a focus on:
Enabling military care and treatment, when and where it's needed

Point of injury and medevac: on display at DESI are Philips innovative, vital signs monitoring and emergency care and resuscitation solutions, including:
lightweight, rugged medic packs with equipment to help triage, diagnose and treat service people on the ground
vital signs monitoring to help diagnose and assess injury and treatment requirement, for faster, more efficient care

portable, lightweight, ventilation solutions for transporting patients from the point of injury to field or static hospitals
Diagnosis: unveiled for the first time, the world-leading, award winning, Philips/Marshall rapidly deployable CT in a standard size with expandable ISO container will be on show, to demonstrate how it enables fast diagnosis and treatment.
Also demonstrated on the stand is the new Visiq ultra-mobile handheld ultrasound systems for crystal clear images in a lightweight form, enabling imaging to take place wherever and whenever required.
Representing Philips Healthcare Technology solutions is the Philips IntelliSpace Portal 7. On stand demonstrations are available to show how the ISP 7 provides a more flexible, efficient approach to multi-modality reporting and data storage.
Treatment: Also on the stand is the Philips military grade MRX for Emergency resuscitation. For more treatment options, Philips representatives are on hand to discuss tented, containerised and hospital based surgery, monitoring, respiratory and anaesthesia solutions.
Continued care: the Philips Healthcare Transformation and Clinical Informatics team are available to discuss how to simplify workflow, reduce errors and improve outcomes through consulting services and interoperable software and solutions.
