Doughty showcases new products at BVE --

Visitors to the Doughty Engineering stand at BVE 2016, running from 23 to 25 February 2016, will see a range of products designed with the broadcast sector in mind. There are two new additions to Doughtys modular rigging system, as well as a selection of grip, rigging, suspension and lifting equipment on display.
Doughty s two new modular rigging system additions at the show this year are a mini drop arm and a new projector mount. Mark Chorley, design engineer at Doughty commented: The projector mount has a safe working load (SWL) of 25kg and offers a 360 degree rotation as well as a 15 degree tilt in two directions. The mini drop arm meanwhile is based on our super lightweight clamp. It accepts 16mm receivers and has a safety bond slot. Were sure our customers who already use the system will find these two new additions to be extremely valuable.
At last years show, we got talking to Manoubi Ben Lamri, Staffordshire Universitys specialist technical instructor for animation. He realised that we would be able to help create a less chaotic, safer space for his students to move more freely around their practical work. We collaborated to rid the studios of all their lighting stands and instead used the Doughty Studio Frame to suspend all the lighting and the cables too.
