Paschkes Named Executive Vice President and Managing Director of
CBS' Experiential Events Division
NEW YORK - March 13, 2019 - CBS Corporation today announced that David Paschkes has been named Executive Vice President and Managing Director, CBS Experiences ( CBSX ), the Company's experiential events division. In his new role, Paschkes will oversee CBSX and be responsible for expanding the reach of CBS' programming and properties through live, entertaining and immersive experiences. He will report to Christina Spade, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, CBS Corporation, and will continue to be based in New York.
As experiential marketing continues to grow and become an important part of consumer engagement, we are excited to have someone with David's experience leading the way as we look to expand our CBSX business, said Spade. I'm confident that through David's established relationships with marketers and his understanding of their unique needs, he will find new and creative ways to unlock the power of the CBS brand for our clients across multiple platforms, including live events, social media and streaming and on-air collaboration.
Paschkes joined CBSX as Senior Vice President, Head of Partnerships in November 2018. Before joining CBSX, he worked at Conde Nast as Vice President, Agency and Partnerships and as Vice President of Revenue for brands including GQ, Wired, Pitchfork and Golf Digest. There, Paschkes was responsible for managing executive relationships and generating advertising and sponsorship revenue across several leading advertising holding companies for all 28 Conde Nast brands. In that role, he partnered with the company's programmatic, social and video teams to evangelize and sell Conde Nast's solutions in the marketplace.
Prior to Conde Nast, Paschkes served as Chief Executive Officer of DIDiT, Inc, a company he founded in 2014. While there, he guided the product strategy and development for iOS mobile apps and websites as well as secured content distribution relationships with major brands including Conde Nast, Time Inc., Hearst, Thrillist, CBS Local and Mashable.
Paschkes has also held senior executive positions at TouchTunes, VEVO, Fantasy Sports Ventures, Yahoo! and Univision over his 20-plus year career in digital media.
Paschkes graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in marketing and international business. He resides in Westchester, N.Y. with his wife and two children.
Since its launch in June 2018, CBSX has produced several exciting and successful events, including CBS SPORTS FRIDAY NIGHT TAILGATE, which featured an entertaining and engaging session with CBS Sports' Sunday pregame show host James Brown, along with analysts Phil Simms, Bill Cowher, Boomer Esiason and Nate Burleson. CBSX's inaugural event, AN EVENING with CBS SUNDAY MORNING LIVE, was hosted by Jane Pauley and featured the show's correspondents in conversation with top newsmakers from the worlds of entertainment, fashion, the arts, science, technology, politics and culture.
