PlayBox Neo (www.playboxneo.com) announces the completion of a Channel-in-a-Box playout system for Indonesian high-definition television broadcaster BeritaSatu. Integrated into the network s Jakarta headquarters, the new installation replaced earlier third-party equipment as part of a technical modernization program.

"The system specified for BeritaSatu TV comprises two servers in classic main and backup configuration, adds PlayBox Asia Pacific General Manager Desmon Goh. "The primary server is one of our 3U CIAB heavyweights backed up by our compact 1U model. Both servers incorporate TitleBox Neo graphics preparation software which provides channel branding, titling, on-screen text and teleprompter feeds. Switchover between the two servers, on the extremely rare occasion that it is needed, is automatic."

Designed for 24/7 unattended operation, PlayBox Neo Channel-in-a-Box can also be operated manually, including the ability to handle live-to-air throughput. It is supported by a range of optional modules which can be combined and configured to suit practically any style and scale of playout, from a single OTT channel up to a full multichannel broadcast network. PlayBox Neo Channel-in-a-Box and its SaaS-based equivalent, Cloud2TV, can deliver output in baseband SD, HD or UHD SDI, in DVB/ATSC-compliant IP streams and in web-based formats such as RTMP. Simulcasting of SDI and single or multiple IP streams is also possible.
