Comprehensive Coverage on RT of UK General Election 2015 Results 05/05/2015: RT will present comprehensive coverage of the UK General Election 2015 results on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th May across television, radio, online and mobile.

There will be RT reporters in all eight of the count centres in Northern Ireland, covering results from the 18 constituencies as they happen.

RT 's Northern Editor Tommie Gorman will report on the overall impact of results across Northern Ireland. RT 's London Correspondent Fiona Mitchell will be reporting live from the UK capital, while RT News reporter Paul O'Flynn will be in Scotland with analysis of the SNP results in the light of the recent referendum.

Thursday May 7th

On UK Polling Day, Thursday 7th May, Cathal MacCoille will co-present Morning Ireland live from London on RT Radio 1. That evening RT One's Six One News will have the latest developments as Bryan Dobson co-presents the programme from outside the Houses of Parliament in central London.

As polls close at 10.00pm on Thursday night and the count begins, Prime Time on RT One and RT News Now, will report live on the UK Election 2015 exit polls as the data becomes available.

On RT Radio 1, Late Debate presented by Keelin Shanley will have a special extended programme until 2.00am live from Belfast, while Philip Boucher Hayes reports from London. RT will also have reporters at each of the Northern Ireland count centres.

Beginning at 11.15pm on RT One and RT News Now, and continuing on-air until 4.00am the following morning, there will be live television results coverage on Election Special: Westminster 2015. Presenter Miriam O'Callaghan will be joined by guests at the count centre in Kings Hall Belfast, while Bryan Dobson will be presenting coverage of the results from England, Scotland and Wales from BBC Studios in London, with David McCullagh live from the main television news studio in RT in Dublin. The programme will provide coverage of breaking results across Northern Ireland, updates on the wider UK results, interviews, discussion and analysis.

Friday May 8th

On Friday 8th May, Cathal MacCoille in London and Audrey Carville in Belfast will present an extended Morning Ireland on Radio 1 (beginning at the earlier time of 6.00am). Aine Lawlor will present an RT News hour-long special television programme, Westminster Election 2015, on Friday morning from 8.00am on RT One and RT News Now, featuring details of all the results that have happened overnight, with live coverage from Belfast and London.

Today with Sean O'Rourke and Drivetime, on RT Radio 1, will present comprehensive post-election coverage and analysis, as a new government is formed at Westminster.

RT One's Six One News on Friday will be co-presented by Bryan Dobson in London with reports from London correspondent, Fiona Mitchell, and Northern Editor, Tommie Gorman.

Adhmhaidin, RT Raidi na Gaeltachta's morning current affairs programme, will broadcast an extended programme from 7am live from Belfast on Friday 8th May, presented by M ir n N Ghadhra. Contributors will include journalists P il n N Chiar in, Ian Malcolm, Eoin N ill and Ciar n Pronntaigh; Niall Gallch ir, Political Correspondent at BBC Alba; businessman Robin Llywelyn in Wales; and RnaG Political Editor M che l Leidhin. At 5pm on Cormac ag a C ig, Cormac hEadhra will present a panel discussion of the election results, with experts in London, Belfast, Scotland and Dublin. Contributors will include S in Muineach n, Eoin Murch , Peadar Muircheartaigh, Se n F. Drisceoil and Alan Dukes.

Online and mobile coverage will run on rte.ie/news and on the RT News Now app from the opening of boxes right through the night to the completion of every count. RT .ie will run a live tracker/blog covering every detail as the count unfolds with the latest results, analysis, tweets and opinions on Westminster Elections 2015.

Live coverage on the RT News Now channel (available on Saorview, UPC and on the RT News Now App) will have a rolling results service, and breaking news developments as well as carrying coverage of the key RT Election programmes.

The @rtenews twitter account, currently the largest single news twitter account in the country with almost 300,000 followers, will be live tweeting the results and updates while subscribers will also be kept up to date with key moments via the Push Notifications on the RT News Now app. Updates will also run on @rteradio1 @rternag and @rte.
