New customer management system from arvato Systems handling innovative lottery products and processes

arvato Systems commissioned to provide operational support until 2019

Munich/G tersloh, Germany - As part of a public tendering process, arvato Systems was awarded the contract for developing a customer management system (CMS) for the German State Lottery Association. arvato Systems will build an IT platform for the association within the context of developing a whole new business model. The lottery association's innovative product will premiere in the first half of 2015.

The German State Lottery Association is the state-run operator of prize-category lotteries and gambling operations in Germany. The innovative new lottery product is the impetus for an expanded web presence for the German market in 2015.

arvato Systems designed the associations new customer management system based on SAP ERP and SAP CRM. Additional customer management systems (CMS) and web portal systems have also been configured. One of the particular challenges within the context of this project has been building a high-volume B2C system for the lottery association, which had previously been running a pure B2B business and marketing model, noted Max Ackermann, Senior Manager for SAP Consulting at arvato Systems.

We are really looking forward to our foray into direct marketing, not to mention our collaboration with arvato Systems - a strong partner for our new customer management system, says Manfred Neidel, board member at the lottery association. Direct marketing and introducing SAP are both firsts for us. The Executive Board and all employees truly see this development as moving into the future in a positive light.

Planned for launch in the first half of 2015, the customer management system from arvato Systems will mainly support lottery ticket sales for the association's new lottery program. Further system expansion has already been planned in the areas of marketing and campaign management, as well as reporting. The lottery association has also commissioned arvato Systems for additional operational support and continued development of the system for the next four years, beginning at the launch date.
