Rohde & Schwarz to expand collaboration with Avnet and EBV Elektronik

Munich/Poing | 06/22/2015 | Corporate Rohde & Schwarz to expand collaboration with Avnet and EBV Elektronik The companies have signed a new strategic procurement agreement. The Rohde & Schwarz electronics group has signed an extensive partnership agreement with Avnet EMG GmbH and EBV Elektronik GmbH & Co. KG, two leading distributors for electronic components, in order to ensure the optimal availability of its electronic components and the corresponding technical support. The contract provides a foundation that enables the companies to continue and extend their existing long-term partnership. By partnering with Avnet and EBV Elektronik, Rohde & Schwarz will benefit from the distributors' comprehensive support worldwide whenever required.

The production of Rohde & Schwarz high-tech products makes complex demands on the company's supply chain, which needs to ensure that the delivery of electronic components and sub-systems is on time, high quality and cost-effective. Peter Schlindwein, VP Corporate Procurement at Rohde & Schwarz, emphasises: In order to achieve this, we need flexible and competent suppliers. We have found these strong partners in Avnet and EBV Elektronik. Together, we have now laid a new foundation which consolidates the current business and provides a legal platform to extend it further.
