Love Synthesizers announce First Love pre-orders

Highly anticipated synthesizer ships in October 2026

Iceland-based Love Synthesizers have announced that their highly anticipated synthesizer is now available for pre-order. The recipient of the Best Innovation Award at Superbooth 2024, the First Love combines a responsive touchscreen with tactile controls, and has been designed to make wave morphing and FM synthesis more intuitive without sacrificing depth.

The result of years of research, design and refinement, the First Love has been created with the aim of offering a fresh approach to sound design. It employs a mixture of wave shaping, morphing envelopes and FM synthesis, and features an intuitive interface that focuses on direct interaction rather than menu-diving. Its animated touchscreen is complemented by responsive physical controls, allowing musicians to maintain the tactile immediacy of hardware while benefitting from detailed visual feedback.

It's a standalone instrument, and thanks to its compact size and the option of running on batteries, can be used just about anywhere. It's equally at home in the studio, though, and offers MIDI, sync and USB connectivity along with four outputs that can be run as two stereo pairs or four mono channels.

Key Features

Four-part multitimbral sound engine with polyphonic and monophonic operation.

Expressive FM synthesis with wave shaping, morphing envelopes, effects and extensive modulation.

Standalone workflow with live looping, riff sequencing, scale creation and microtonal tuning.

Pressure-sensitive performance pads with velocity and aftertouch.

Battery option, built-in speakers, DIN MIDI, sync and USB connectivity for studio or mobile use.

Quarter-inch TS line and TRS phone audio out, 2x stereo or 4x mono for versatile signal routing.

The First Love has always been about making one of the most powerful forms of synthesis feel immediate, expressive and inspiring. We wanted to create an instrument that welcomes newcomers while continuing to surprise experienced musicians for years to come. Opening pre-orders marks the beginning of that journey, and were incredibly excited to finally put First Love into the hands of creators around the world. - K ri Halld rsson, Founder, Love Synthesizers

Pricing & Availability The First Love is available to pre-order now, priced at $699 499. The first units are expected to ship in October 2026.
