Localisation and media services company ZOO Digital has launched a new remote solution for ADR.

ZOO's ADR platform creates a virtual ADR stage' with in-built video conferencing and collaboration tools. It also enables producers to record groups collaboratively in the same session.

According to the company, the platform's auto-sync tools provide snap-to-sync capabilities to ensure all captured audio is frame accurate. All pre-release content remains secure in the ADR platform, which benefits from multifactor authentication, watermarking, 256-bit encryption and secure video streaming.

During 2020, we were pleased to be able to support a number of our customers to keep their productions moving with remote ADR services, said Gordon Doran, president, ZOO Digital. This was while also ensuring the health and safety of their actors and directors during a challenging period for everyone. Now, thanks to the rapid work of our in-house research and development team, we have been able to adapt our voice capture technology in order to launch a dedicated remote ADR service, right when the industry needs it most.

Red Bee provides support for SALTO Red Bee Media is supporting French SVoD platform SALTO with Digital Asset Management (DAM), post production for promotional material and the QC of assets being added to the platform.

Red Bee Media is a highly experienced and innovative provider of media services, internationally and in France, which made the choice easy when we were looking for a content management partner for SALTO, said Hugues Blondet, in charge of Digital Asset Management at SALTO. The managed services they provide enables efficient collaboration between all contributors to SALTO, which has proven instrumental to the launch and continued success of the platform.

In addition to co-ordinating the content management for the platform, Red Bee is also delivering QC services for assets being ingested in the system as well as post production for promotional content, which includes editing, voice recording, mixing and media management.

Avid launches Edit On Demand cloud-based editor Avid launched its new Avid | Edit On Demand subscription service, which puts Avid Media Composer editing software and Avid Nexis cloud storage into the hands of broadcast, production house and post facility teams regardless of where they are.

The solution optimises the user experience so that it is virtually indistinguishable from on-premise editing, the company said.

According to Avid, post production teams can quickly spin up virtualised Media Composer systems with Avid NEXIS cloud workspaces, access their workflows from anywhere and shut them down fast when projects are complete.
