ITN appoints Lisa Campbell as Director of Corporate Communications

ITN today announces the appointment of Lisa Campbell as its new Director of Corporate Communications.

Lisa joins ITN from the Edinburgh Television Festival, where she is CEO and Festival Director and has spent the last six years curating the most prestigious media Festival in the UK.

During her time there she has been responsible for providing strategic and editorial direction of the Festival, transforming the event with speakers who tackled themes and issues which led a global news agenda.

She launched the TV Foundation which houses a year-round programme of events and charitable activity including two talent schemes and introduced a raft of new initiatives with a clear diversity agenda.

Previous to that Lisa was editor of Broadcast for seven years, where she set the editorial vision, maintaining its reputation as the industry bible' and remaining relevant in a rapidly changing television climate.

Anna Mallett, CEO of ITN, said: Lisa is an outstanding communicator, journalist and strategist who understands the requirements of positioning ITN within the industry landscape in the UK and globally.

She has spent the last six years setting the agenda for the television industry in her work at the TV Festival; her proven track record in championing diversity and inclusion is second to none and her contacts across the industry make her perfectly placed to lead ITN's corporate communications strategy.

Lisa will play a key role in communicating the evolution of ITN as an international news and content producer, whose current clients include ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, BBC, Sky, Netflix, Discovery and CBS.

I look forward to working with Anna and the editorial team to champion their compelling content and independent journalism.

I join from six years of curating the TV Festival, where I've endeavoured to make the Festival a highlight in the TV calendar, a place to celebrate the best shows, interrogate the biggest issues and remind all those working in TV why they love this challenging yet incredible industry. It's been a privilege to work with some of the best creative brains in the business but it's time to take on a new challenge.

Lisa takes up the role in January and replaces Sarah Vaughan-Brown, who left ITN earlier this year after 11 successful years in the company.
