Sky and CityFibre have agreed a long-term partnership that will see Sky launch broadband services on the CityFibre network.

CityFibre has a footprint of 3.8 million today and is committed to expand its network to at least 8 million premises over the coming years.

Work is underway to ensure Sky's Full Fibre Broadband will be available to people on the CityFibre network in 2025.

CityFibre, the UK's largest independent full fibre platform, has today announced a long-term partnership with Sky, one of the biggest broadband providers in the UK. The new agreement will see Sky offering its award-winning broadband to people on CityFibre's nationwide full fibre network.

Sky's Full Fibre Broadband is expected to be available on CityFibre's full fibre network from next year. Longer term, this will include over 1.3 million homes in hard-to-reach areas through CityFibre's extensive participation in the Government's Project Gigabit Programme1.

CityFibre is committed to accelerating the upgrade of its entire network to 10Gbps XGS-PON, supporting the introduction of an expanded symmetrical multi-gigabit product portfolio for its ISP partners.
