LOS ANGELES, CA December 11, 2014 Netflix, the world s leading Internet TV network, received seven nominations for the 2015 Golden Globe Awards between House of Cards, Orange is the New Black and Derek. The nominations were announced today in Los Angeles.
We are honored to receive seven Golden Globe nominations today. House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, and the remarkable storytellers and ensembles that make them possible, have blazed a trail for TV in the new millennium, and we are proud to see their creative accomplishments awarded this week, said Ted Sarandos, Chief Content Officer for Netflix. I couldn t be prouder to see Taylor, Uzo, Robin, Ricky, and Kevin rewarded for their fearless work.

The 72nd annual Golden Globes Awards will air live on NBC on January 11, 2015 at 5pm PT/8pm ET.
In other recent awards announcements, Netflix garnered five nominations for the SAG Awards including ensemble nods for both House of Cards and Orange is the New Black, three nominations for the WGA Awards; three nominations for the PGA Awards; and eight NAACP Image Award nominations. Additionally, the Netflix documentary Virunga earned a nomination for Best Documentary for the Film Independent Spirit Awards, a nomination for Outstanding Producer of a Documentary Theatrical for the PGA Awards, as well as three nominations for the Cinema Eye Honors, including Outstanding Nonfiction Feature.
