After drawing standing-room-only crowds the past two years, the Cloud Workshop: Production & MAM Workflows returns to Day 1 of the SVG Summit on Dec. 11. This year's edition will dive deep into virtualized workflows deployed by NASCAR Productions, NBC Olympics and NBC Sports, WTA Media with full case studies presented by each organization. This trio of case studies will be followed by a panel titled Best Practices in the Cloud: Virtualization, Microservices, and the Changing Face of Sports Production . Held from 10 a.m. to noon ET on Monday Dec. 11, this seminar is open to all SVG Summit attendees.

High costs associated with creating program assets mean that production teams are looking to gain maximum exposure from the content they create to generate the greatest return on their investment and promote their sports as far as possible. This case study looks at how WTA Media's broadcast partners can now access a huge range of supporting content to augment their live and near-live broadcast programming through Imagen's feature-rich, self-serve video portal. As the 2018 Winter Olympics approach, NBC Olympics will once again be tasked with with connecting its on-site operation in PyeongChang with its Broadcast Center in Stamford, CT, as well as multiple facilities across the U.S. in order to exchange content. Learn how NBC is continuing to build out this cloud-based ecosystem following the successful 2016 Rio Games and how these multi-site-production workflows are being deployed across its various sports properties.
