Signiant Unveils New Capabilities for Manager+Agents at IBC2017

Signiant Inc, a market leader in intelligent file movement software, today announced that IBC2017 will see the company expand its leadership position in enterprise-class, accelerated file transfer with new capabilities for its flagship offering, Manager Agents. With this trusted product as the foundation, Signiants simple, integrated portfolio addresses a broad range of use cases and extends seamlessly into the cloud.

Widely deployed across the Media and Entertainment ecosystem, Manager Agents was a key enabler of the transition to file-based workflows and remains the gold standard today, providing automated system-to-system file movement within, and between, enterprises. New offerings being shown at IBC2017 allow customers to more tightly couple Manager Agents with the entire Signiant product suite.

New for the show, is the ability to extend Manager Agents workflows to users of Signiant Media Shuttle, its widely-deployed cloud-native SaaS offering. With hundreds of thousands of global users, Media Shuttle is the de facto standard for media professionals who need to send and share high-value content. Via Media Shuttle s new automation API, system-to-person workflows can now be created to directly link automated Manager Agents deliveries to individual people.

Signiant will also showcase the company s newly patented, standards-based transport architecture for Flight, a cloud-native, auto-scaling cloud upload utility. Totally unique in the market, this new technology accelerates any HTTP-based transfer and is capable of delivering data to the cloud at multiple gigabits per second. When used in conjunction with Manager Agents, transfers to the cloud and transfers between on-premises storage locations are managed identically. This means that the Manager can provide full visibility of all transfers, and advanced functionality, such as resource control, can be applied. The result is the ability to seamlessly manage data transfers in a hybrid cloud deployment from one central console.
