After a two-game appetizer to the 2024-25 NBA regular season, fans will enjoy a packed 10-game slate of matchups tonight. One of those games, Memphis Grizzlies vs. Utah Jazz at 9 p.m. ET, will signal the second regular season of the home team's direct-to-consumer platform, Jazz+. Flash back to this time last year, the Jazz were in an entirely different spot as one of the first professional sports teams to break ties with their regional sports network, bringing production and content distribution in house, and building a new broadcast destination from scratch.
Over the summer at the 2024 SVG Regional Sports Production Summit in June, Utah Jazz's SVP of Broadcasting Travis Henderson and Smith Entertainment Group's Chief Communications Officer Caroline Klein discussed how their existing broadcast operation and infrastructure paved the way for a successful first season in 2023-24 and what's next for SEG Media as Utah's sports footprint expands.
