On 31 January the Sundance Film Festival culminated in an awards evening where Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, The Wolfpack, Slow West and The Russian Woodpecker received Grand Jury prizes.

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon , tells the story of a young filmmaker who befriends a classmate suffering with leukaemia. The film also won the Audience Prize.
