While Disney ya alberga un gran n mero de t tulos dirigidos al p blico infantil y juvenil de la mano de Marvel, Pixar o Star Wars, ahora lanza la nueva marca, Star, en la que ofrecer pel culas y series dirigidas a adultos procedentes de las factor as Disney Television Studios, FX, 20th Century Studios o 20th Television.
La sexta marca bajo la bandera de Disney , tras Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar y Nat Geo, ya est disponible en la plataforma de streaming en Europa, Australia, Nueva Zelanda y Canad . La nueva marca de contenido de entretenimiento general se plantea como un nuevo canal dentro de la cuenta Disney del usuario junto a las opciones existentes.
Cabe destacar, por otro lado, que Disney es propietaria de Hulu, adem s de Fox. Hulu est detr s de series como The Handmaid's Tale and Love, Victor, aut nticos en Estados Unidos, pero no est disponible en el Reino Unido. Hulu se comercializa en un paquete con Disney en EE.UU., por lo que este nuevo paquete para el Reino Unido ser un gran movimiento para los clientes no estadounidenses.
Disney tambi n posee un enorme cat logo de contenidos gracias a la compra de Fox. Fox es conocida por series como Fargo, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Americans and Atlanta, mientras que 20th Century Studios ha producido pel culas como Avatar, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Darkest Hour and X-Men, entre otros xitos de taquilla.
Con los contenidos m s maduros llegan algunos cambios, ya que adem s del ligero aumento de precio, la plataforma a ade controles parentales de cara a bloquear determinados perfiles. Los controles se establecen autom ticamente en 14 , pero se pueden aumentar a 18 .
Los suscriptores de Disney en Europa del Este, Hong Kong, Jap n y Corea del Sur podr n acceder a Star en una fecha posterior, a lo largo de este 2021, mientras que en Am rica Latina, Disney lanzar Star como un servicio de streaming independiente que ofrecer una serie de coberturas deportivas en directo.
