SABC1's educational soapie Skeem Saam recently (17 January) marked its 2000th episode after celebrating their 10th year anniversary in October 2021.

The youth soapie is the third-most viewed show on SABC1 followed by Generations: The Legacy and Uzalo.

SKEEM SAAM!': TEN YEARS OF STORYTELLING Skeem Saam recently announced its 2000th episode with hilarious bloopers on Twitter after celebrating 10 years on TV in 2021.

The show thanked viewers for their continuous support and shared bloopers from the show in a video on social media.

Skeem Saam was created by TV producer and writer - Winnie Serite in October 2011 and stars legendary actors such as Afrika Tsoai, Shoki Mmola, Harriet Manamela, and many more.

Publicist Sumaya Mogola told Daily Sun:

Skeem Saam has featured a number of educational stories and relatable cast members.

It has won the hearts of millions of viewers that we are grateful for.

We have cast and crew members that are dedicated and passionate and the end product is always worth the ups and downs.

Sumanya added that they intend to keep telling stories as they've always done and hope audiences show them the same love they did in the past 2000 episodes.

Seems like Charlie s personality on screen is similar to his real life personality

SABC1'S THIRD-WATCHED SHOW Skeem Saam has kept the third position on SABC1 for years with an average of 3 to 4 million viewers every night according to the TVSA's primetime viewing figures.

The soapie has sadly also been losing talented actors annually such as Charles Maja, Nokuzola Mlengana, Karabo Mokhubela, Jannes Eiselen, Paul Rapetsoa, and many more.

December viewing figures:

Uzalo: 6,855,580

Generations: The Legacy: 5,482,880

Skeem Saam: 3,699,278
