La Universidad Arte+Dise o Emily Carr de Vancouver ha adquirido un Pablo Rio de Quantel como elemento principal para la investigaci n en t cnicas y flujos de trabajo avanzados en correcci n de color en entornos de Ultra Alta Definici n 4K/8K, grabaci n y exhibici n a altas tasas de frame rate (HFR) y estereoscop a 3D. La sala instalada por el partner de Quantel, Annex Pro, se emplear para la producci n de numerosas piezas de alto nivel. sta es la primera instalaci n de un Pablo Rio 4K en Vancouver.
Este centro abri sus puertas en mayo de 2010 y lidera un proyecto dentro de la Red de Centros de Excelencia GRAND, que vincula universidades que trabajan en el cine y los medios de comunicaci n en Canad . El Centro S3D aplica conocimientos t cnicos hacia la excelencia est tica en las pr cticas avanzadas de comunicaci n. El Centro tiene previsto hacer ede sul Pablo Rio un sistema accesible para las industrias de los medios digitales mediante alquiler y colaboraci n en futuros programas de formaci n en postproducci n.
Mar a Lantin, directora de Investigaci n y del Centro S3D Emily Carr, ha asegurado que Pablo Rio es una gran adici n al Centro S3D Emily Carr en el campo de la exhibici n HFR, reproducci n en tiempo real de 4K y estereoscop a. El amplio conjunto de herramientas de Pablo Rio ofrecer a los estudiantes una gran interactividad y rendimiento de la investigaci n relevantes para la industria de media y servicios avanzados .
Annex Pro ha proporcionado un completo sistema de llave en mano, incluyendo CPU, almacenamiento de alta velocidad, pantallas, UPS y un flight case para el transporte del sistema.
