Van Nuys, California, August 12, 2013 Litepanels announces the release of the new Croma Flight Kit . Based around the popular variable color temperature Litepanels Croma, this lightweight and compact kit is designed for today's shooting environments. The Croma Flight Kit has a host of versatile power and mounting accessories, and offers room to spare for an additional lighting fixture or other items.

Out of the box, the Croma Flight Kit comes complete with everything needed for typical location lighting applications. This includes three Croma LED fixtures and associated Diffusion Gels, Ball Head Shoe Mounts, TVMP Adapters, 20 Adapter Kits, AC Power Supplies, and compact light stands that each extend from 19.3 to 6.2' (49cm to 1.9cm). In addition, the Croma Flight Kit is equipped with a versatile Manfrotto Justin Spring Clamp for use when a light source is needed in tight or confined locations. The gear stays secure and highly portable in a compact trolley-style hard case with a custom designed, rigid foam insert. And better yet, all of the gear fits neatly into standard airplane overhead storage.

At the heart of the kit is the Croma fixture, which combines both daylight and tungsten balanced LEDs. The mixture of the two LEDs can be controlled via a single ergonomic dial in order to effortlessly match any ambient light or create artistic accents. Through a similar manual control, the Croma also employs integrated, smooth dimming from 100% to 0 with no color shift, and is consistently flicker-free at any frame rate or shutter angle. Each Croma offers output comparable to 40W HMI or 90W tungsten fixture and can be powered for up to 1.5 hours by six AA batteries for wireless lighting freedom. The Kit also includes 3 each international AC power adapter plugs.

Created to fulfill many of the day-to-day lighting needs, this compact kit can be deployed in a classic 3-point lighting interview set up, individual fixtures can be mounted directly on camera, and fixtures are ideal for creating complimentary edge or hair light. Because the Croma runs cool the touch, users need not worry about burned fingers or waiting for cool down before striking.

Fully loaded, users have the option to build out a 5 light custom lighting kit - all in the space of typical carry-on luggage. The custom foam in the case offers a dedicated space to add a fourth fixture, and even more additional space for a Litepanels Sola ENG or MicroPro fixture. Starting at just 26 pounds (11.8 kg), the Croma Flight Kit is one of the lightest and compact professional lighting kits available.
