Half-Year Major Projects Investment Exceeds 0 Billion Yuan in Beilun District

During the first half of 2016, Beilun District has exerted itself to press ahead with major projects construction. In the first half year, construction of 8 major projects including the Meishan Campus of Ningbo University has already begun while that of 10 projects including Haiyue's propylene spheric tank expansion project already completed. The accumulated investment of the projects stands at 10.35 billion yuan, constituting 47 percent of the annually planned investment.

Promote Industry Transformation and Upgrading

Ningbo Aomate High Precision Power Press Machine production project began in May this year and its factory building covering 6000 square meters is now under busy construction. According to Lu Jingwei, general manager of Ningbo Aomate High Precision Power Press Co., Ltd, the factory building will be used for the production of oversize high precision power press machine independently developed by the company, whose annual output can reach 120 sets.

With a total investment of more than 200 million yuan, the construction of Aikesen Automotive Electronics Industrial Park was completed in April, creating a potent new force for automobile component industry in Beilun District. It will provide high-standard auto parts for all the automobile manufactures and at the same time create more opportunities for the company. , said a principal from Beilun Development and Reform Commission, when the project is put into operation, the yearly value of production is expected to be 300 million yuan.

In the first half of the year, Beilun District has pushed forward a batch of major projects with considerable economic returns. The second phase of the production project of Geely Group's 7DCT has been going smoothly while Haiyue's propylene spheric tank expansion project, Haitian's middle-large size two-plate plastic injection molding machine and ultra-large size JU two-plate plastic injection molding machine projects were completed successively.

When the major projects are put into operation, the competitiveness and comprehensive strength of Beilun District will be enhanced said the principal.

Build a Livable City

Since Beilun District is far away from the urban center, it was fairly inconvenient for us to go downtown in the past. But now we can easily go shopping downtown at weekends. With the completion of the second stage of the project of Ningbo Metro Line 1, travel time from Beilun District to downtown area has been cut by half.

Recently, the construction of the main building of five-star commercial hotel and Movie & TV Cultural Centre has already been completed and the reflection glass curtainwall is being installed. According to the principal of the project, the square can not only help build bustling business center in Beilun District, but also make Movie & TV cultural industry a preponderant distinctive industry in Beilun District.

By the end of June, the 2016 urban and rural power grid upgrading project has been completed, which involves optimizing the grid structure of power distribution network, upgrading of equipment, increasing capacity, etc. The transformed circuit reaches 128.02 kilometers with 74,100 KVA of power transformation. According to the head of Beilun Power Supply Department, the power distribution network would be excellent with higher power supply quality and reliability.

Though facing severe economic downward pressure and tough challenges, Beilun District still gives priority to increasing effective investing, accelerating industrial restructuring and improving industrial development environment to develop economy , said a principal of Beilun Development and Reform Bureau, grasping projects means grasping the most crucial element of effective investing.
