Half-year tourism income in Yuyao reaches 5.4 billion yuan

Statistics from the tourism departments show that in the first half of the year, Yuyao County received 5.79 million visits from home and abroad and achieved a tourism income of 5.4 billion yuan, up by 12.3% and 12.81% respectively. Among others, the Siming Mountain area received 1.5697 million visits, with the total tourism income of 582 million yuan, up by 15.1% and 16.8% respectively.

The county has made efforts to strengthen the new engine for tourism by accelerating the project construction. In the first half of this year, the Siming Lake International Conference Center was completed and put into use, with a total investment of 80 million yuan, a floor area of 8,885 square meters and a construction area of 4,600 square meters. The ecological tourist projects and the landscape project of "road of Tang poetry" at the Siming Mountain area were smoothly under construction. In terms of the fitness trail construction, the Donggang Mountain and Bailu Tourist Trail at the Siming Mountain area and the Tianzhi Tourist Trail at Dayin Town were completed. Based on the resources of the mountain climate, ecological environment and the ancient villages, the Siming Mountain area has accelerated the construction of the B&B clustering area by launching the B&B investment attracting projects.

The county has also focused on the tourist festivals and featured theme activities. During the Spring Festival holiday, the county launched the "luck pursuing" activity, attracting tourists for sightseeing, featured food and festival celebration. During the Spring Festival holiday, the county received 301,500 visits, up by 30.18% over the same period of last year. Besides, such activities as the opening ceremony of the Siming Mountain Tourist Festival, the series activities of "flowers appreciation" and "water holidays at Siming Mountain", and the series activities of the Bayberry Festival, attracted a large number of tourists from the Yangtze River Delta area. Meanwhile, by strengthening the marketing efforts, planning the special spring and summer tourist routes and organizing the tourist promotion activities, the county has achieved an expanded tourist source.
