Veteran Human Resources Executive To Take On

More Day-To-Day Management Responsibility

Steve Mirante has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Human Resources, CBS Corporation, it was announced today by Anthony Ambrosio, the Company's Chief Human Resources Officer and Chief Administration Officer. Mirante will continue his current oversight of human resource specialty functions including compensation, benefits and human resources information systems, and now, in this expanded role, will work with Ambrosio to manage the day-to-day human resource generalist responsibilities with each of CBS's business units.

Mirante previously served as Senior Vice President, Human Resources for CBS Corporation. In this role, he has overseen compensation, benefit and human resource information systems functions. These functions support 20,000 active employees and 80,000 overall, many of which are related to former Westinghouse divisions. Mirante joined CBS in October 2005.

Prior to working at CBS Corporation, Mirante held a number of senior executive positions with various firms. This includes the position of Eastern Retirement Practice Leader of Watson Wyatt Worldwide, where he led a staff of more than 400 consultants. Mirante also served as the Senior Vice President of CIGNA's Retirement and Investment Services Division Advisory Service group. In this role he was responsible for managing the investment, compliance, actuarial and compensation needs for more than 250 plan sponsors. Mirante was also the National Retirement Practice Leader and New Jersey Managing Consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers, Unifi Network.

He is a Fellow with the Society of Actuaries and a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany.

Mirante also serves as a Management Trustee for the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) Health and Retirement Funds.
