SVG s Venue Tech Journal Now Available in Digital Edition

SVG's inaugural Venue Tech Journal is now available as a digital edition. The Venue Tech Journal, launched at last month's Venue Technology Summit, represents just a part of SVG's growing Venue Technology Initiative, which is charged with serving the information, networking, and business needs of engineering, IT, and broadcast executives in sports venues - both professional and college.

This inaugural edition features in-depth reports on the top venue stories of the past year: Barclays Center, Dodger Stadium, and Sports Authority Field at Mile High. The stories are covered from every angle, including technology specs, conversations with top executives, and photos of state-of-the-art control rooms.

In addition, the Journal takes a look back at the year in videoboards, specifically the record-setters at Reliant Stadium, Safeco Field, Bankers Life Fieldhouse, and Toyota Center. Features include closer looks at these breathtaking videoboards, as well as the backend gear powering these displays.

The Venue Technology Initiative Committee compiled the third section of the Journal, the Venue Technology Initiative White Paper: Recommendations for Sports Venue Production Design. The White Paper, a resource of peer-reviewed best-practice guidelines for new builds and renovations, is intended as an evolving document for venue owners, operators, developers, architects, and other interested parties. It currently comprises two sections - Mobile Broadcast Unit/Truck Compound Infrastructure and Operations, and Scoreboard Control Room Infrastructure and Operations - and plans call for future sections on Information Technology and In-Venue Connectivity.
