
EINDHOVEN, The Netherlands, June 11, 2013 - Civolution, the leading provider of technology solutions for identifying, managing and monetizing content, today announced a partnership with LVL Studio, the Canadian transmedia and TV user experience design company with globally recognized expertise in service design. Under the agreement, LVL Studio will use Civolution's award-winning SyncNow for ad synchronization in its new second-screen TV content platform, Purple .
Purple enables broadcasters and operators to create custom second-screen experiences for their services and programming. With Civolution SyncNow integration, Purple-based apps can incorporate real-time, targeted ad triggering and ad synchronization, helping advertisers get higher ROI on sponsored messages. Purple-enabled apps are available for Android, iOS, desktop Web browsers and other popular platforms.

Recent research indicates that consumer behavior is in a state of flux, as new multi-tasking habits have altered the standard TV-viewing experience. The Canadian Radio-television Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) states that 50% of Canadians have a second-screen device at hand while watching TV. Civolution's SyncNow ad identification service, powered by its real-time automatic content recognition (ACR) technology, instantly recognizes TV commercials across Civolution's extensive broadcast monitoring infrastructure. This allows broadcasters and advertisers alike to extend the 30-second spot to multiple devices, and engage viewers even as they split their focus between screens.
