Fear Street: Prom Queen' Scares Up a Terrifying Night to Remember for Fans

You never forget your prom and Netflix served up a night for fans to remember to mark the May 23 debut of Fear Street: Prom Queen.

Following 2021's hit Fear Street trilogy (1994, 1978 and 1666), the new standalone film takes viewers back to Shadyside as prom season gets underway and the school's wolfpack of It Girls is busy with its usual sweet and vicious campaigns for the crown. But when a gutsy outsider puts herself in the running, and the other girls start mysteriously disappearing, the class of '88 is suddenly in for one hell of a prom night.

To celebrate the latest installment of R.L. Stine's blood-soaked Fear Street franchise, we transformed Hollywood's historic Fonda Theatre into Shadyside High Senior Prom 88: A Fear Street Experience, immersing fans into the heart of 80s culture with killer moments inspired by Fear Street: Prom Queen.

Running from May 17-19, Netflix created a unique interactive, theatrical, free-roam experience filled with horror, jump scares, gore, and Fear Street lore, transforming everyone into Shadyside seniors. As fans tried to enjoy the night and explore Shadyside High haunts like the gymnasium, AV room, janitor's closet, library and girls' bathroom, no amount of nostalgic revelry could mask the fact that Prom Queen contenders were disappearing, body parts were popping up all over, and the sights and sounds of gory violence were closing in.

Every corner of the experience invited content capture and interactive moments for fans. Netflix invited the film's cast, including India Fowler, Suzanna Son, David Iacono, Ella Rubin, Ariana Greenblatt, and Rebecca Ablack, Ryan Rosery, Ilan ODriscoll, Dakota Taylor, Cecilia Lee and director Matt Palmer, who braved the horrors of Shadyside High School once more to share the night with fans. They were joined by other Netflix talent like Chloe Veitch (Too Hot To Handle, The Circle and Perfect Match) and Shubham Goell (Battle Camp and The Circle).

Pack on the hairspray, pick out your corsage and get ready for a bloody good time when Fear Street: Prom Queen is now streaming on Netflix.
