Unlike most 1 GbE switches that are designed for wiring closet deployments, the Arista 7048T provides an industry leading 16 Mb of packet buffer per port that allows for smooth traffic delivery from high speed 10 GbE resources to 1 Gb attached workstations without loss of data under high load conditions.
