Local actors visit Australia for SA film premiere --

Pad Na Jou Hart stars Ivan Botha and Donnalee Roberts have travelled overseas for the film s Australian premiere through an initiative by ONStv, a video on demand portal and content distributer which provides South Africans living abroad with access to local films and TV content.

The two South African actors, who are known for their work on a number of local productions including roles on the Afrikaans soapie 7de Laan, appeared in Perth on Monday 9 June and will continue to Brisbane on Friday 13 June and Sydney on Wednesday 18 June. The tour will allow them to interact with fans, attend social functions and promote the release of Pad Na Jou Hart to Australian movie-goers.

Henning Basson, Business Director of ONStv, says that there is a clear demand for access to local content by those living abroad and explains, Through the downloads on our multi-platform site it is obvious that they are hungry for local content and to meet their favourite actors who are making the home-grown stories come alive.

According to Basson, South African expats can look forward to a lot more of these kinds of events and ONStvs main support manager, Danie Barnard adds, They are always eager to hear some stories about the people behind and in front of the camera. Thats why we decided to take Donnalee and Ivan with to Australia - they are not only the faces of the story - but they were the writers and co-producers of the film as well!
