Cloud playout solutions provider, Veset, has announced its partnership with one of Japan's leading broadcasters to integrate JPEG XS and Multicast networking capabilities into Veset Nimbus its advanced cloud-based playout solution all available using AWS infrastructure and solutions.

Veset is one of the first cloud playout providers to offer customers JPEG XS and Multicast networking integration, enabling broadcasters to transmit high-quality video content with minimal delay and ensuring seamless live production workflows in the cloud. Multicast networking support will also allow the customer to transmit their existing live video feeds easily to both Nimbus and multiple other third party products used in this project without complicated unicast solutions, which is particularly valuable for multi-channel operations, offering greater flexibility for content distribution.

This transition to cloud-based technology is driven by the need for greater scalability, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness in the customer's broadcasting operations. Traditional hardware-based systems often involve significant investments and lack the agility to adapt to evolving demands. By adopting cloud solutions, the customer can efficiently manage resources, reduce infrastructure costs and rapidly deploy new services to meet the growing expectations of its audience.
