The All New Monty 2019: Who Bares Wins
The shows with the most front on British television are back and more ballsy then ever for 2019! Ashley Banjo, Alexander Armstrong, Victoria Derbyshire and Coleen Nolan are once again joining forces to persuade a brand new line-up of celebrities to take to the stage and bare all for the biggest and most daring extravaganza yet all to raise awareness of cancers in intimate areas of the body.
A fresh set of male and female stars will learn whole new super-sized routines from scratch, before revealing all to the nation in two 90-minute specials to demonstrate the importance of shedding body inhibitions and making checks in intimate areas to prevent cancer.
With a new name, a new line-up and all new routines the BAFTA-nominated programme will see Alexander and Ashley lead the men, marshalling the famous novices through their moves and whipping them into shape to perform a frenzy-inducing striptease. They hope to build on the impact of last year to keep key health messages about regular checks for testicular and prostate cancer at the forefront of the nation's minds.
This year will see Love Island winner Jack Fincham, Emmerdale's Kelvin Fletcher, King of the Jungle Joe Pasquale, Strictly Come Dancing's Gorka Marquez, snooker legend Willie Thorne, Crimewatch's Rav Wilding, Dancing on Ice star Matt Evers, footballer Jason Cundy, prepare to put on their dancing shoes and take off their pants. All of them have stories to tell about how cancer has touched the lives of them or those around them.
Following the Ladies show's recent Broadcast Award for Best Popular Factual Programme of 2018, this time the competition between the men and the women will heat up as Victoria, Coleen and Ashley lead the ladies and offer support and motivation to inspire them to give the performance of their lives. Like the men, each of the women has seen how cancer can affect people close to them, so every garment they shed is aimed at encouraging women to check their breasts, keep to their cervical smear appointments and be more health aware regarding their bodies.
As the men and women dare each other to bare for live examinations on daytime TV and plot to each pull off the most impressive dance moves, the pressure is on to see who can create the most show-stopping performance and who will overcome their nerves and inhibitions to reveal all for a good cause.
Ashley Banjo said: It's such a privilege to be able to be a part of this fantastic series. This show has been a life changing experience for me and hopefully for many other men around the country who have been checked or had conversations about cancer that they wouldn't have had otherwise. Every year I plan something I hope will be better than the last, but this time Xander and I really have gone full out to make this the biggest and best yet!
Alexander Armstrong said: I am absolutely delighted this series will be returning following last year's successful show in raising awareness of male cancer. I am proud to be a part of such a great cause alongside Ashley and I am looking forward to being involved in another fantastic show. With this year's group of lads we will be looking to raise the bar and ensure it's a night no one will forget!
