Warner Bros. Television Taps Studio Veteran Adam Glick to Head Business Affairs December 7, 2015
Glick to Serve as Main Negotiator for Television Industry's Top Studio
BURBANK, Calif. - Adam Glick, a longtime key Warner Bros. Television executive and highly regarded industry veteran, returns to the top business affairs post at Warner Bros. Television, after vacating the position he previously shared in 2012 in order to build and expand the business affairs department of the fast-growing Warner Horizon Television (WHTV) programming unit. The announcement was made today by Peter Roth, President and Chief Content Officer, Warner Bros. Television Group, and Brett Paul, Executive Vice President of the division.
Glick returns to WBTV to serve as its lead negotiator and will oversee all of its business affairs activities. As Executive Vice President, Business Affairs, Warner Bros. Television, he will oversee the departments staff and will manage its day-to-day operations; his responsibilities include negotiating all of the companys deals with performers, producers, writers and directors, as well licensing deals with the various original distribution platforms for that programming.
WBTV is one of the television industrys top suppliers of scripted programming to the broadcast network, premium/basic cable and on-demand platform marketplace, with more than 30 current series, and is the studios main primetime production unit. WBTV's current slate includes The Big Bang Theory for CBS, Blindspot for NBC, The Middle for ABC, Gotham for FOX, The Flash for The CW, Major Crimes for TNT, The Leftovers for HBO, Shameless for Showtime and 11.22.63 for Hulu, as well as distributing Green Eggs and Ham (produced by Warner Bros. Animation) for Netflix, among many others.
Brett Paul said: Adam has been one the studio's top business executives for many years and has served in each of his roles with distinction. During his recent tenure at WHTV, he expanded his expertise across all genres of programming and across all original outlets of distribution, making him an even more key player of our senior management team. Adam is known not only for his business acumen but also for his character and integrity, as he brings with him an innate sense of fairness and trust. He has earned the respect of our community the old-fashioned way, an opinion shared throughout the industry. We look forward to his continued leadership.
While at WHTV, Glick supervised all business affairs matters for the division, reporting to Brett Paul and Susan Rovner on scripted programming for cable and on-demand platforms, and to Mike Darnell on unscripted programming for network and cable. He oversaw business affairs for current scripted series such as Rizzoli & Isles for TNT, Pretty Little Liars for ABC Family, and Fuller House and Longmire for Netflix, as well as unscripted series such as The Voice and upcoming Little Big Shots for NBC, The Bachelor franchise - including The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise - and 500 Questions for ABC, and America's Best Dance Crew for MTV.
Glick originally joined Warner Bros. Television in 1999 as Director, Business Affairs, before being promoted to Vice President in 2002, Senior Vice President in 2005 and Co-Head of Business Affairs in 2008 with Dan Limerick, who he succeeds in the new role. During that time, Glick served as the company's principal business affairs negotiator for the WBTV-based Jerry Bruckheimer Television, Bill Lawrence, Michael Patrick King, Bruno Heller and Greg Berlanti, among others, spearheading negotiations on hit series such as 2 Broke Girls, The Mentalist and The Vampire Diaries, as well as The New Adventures of Old Christine, Without a Trace, Cold Case and more.
Before coming to the studio, Glick was Director, Legal & Music Business Affairs, at The Carsey/Werner Company, LLC. He began his career as a legal intern in the U.S. Attorneys Office and was an associate at the firm of Pregerson, Richman & Luna. Glick is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Southern California School of Law.
