Cuando la cadena WJAX TV, afiliada de CBS con licencia para Jacksonville (Florida - Estados Unidos), comenz a renovar su estudio de producci n las miras se centraron en los sistemas de visualizaci n que se instalar an en el plat .
El proyecto fue encargado al integrador Advanced que tuvo de enfrentarse al reto de instalar m s de cuarenta pantallas de NEC and LG, aunque uno de los elementos clave de la renovaci n fue la integraci n de una pantalla LED HyperPixel de 1,5 mm que se ha colocado bajo la mesa del presentador.
Tuvimos que desarrollar una forma de configurar y montar un display de pixel pitch s per fino, visualizando directamente la pantalla Led sobre la superficie curva , explica Mark McPherson, vicepresidente de Advanced.
El equipo de ingenier a de Advanced plane cuidadosamente c mo construir una una pantalla configurada en 6 1. Opt por trabajar con una HyperPixel ya que se pueden personalizar para que funcionen en modo vertical, haci ndolas compatibles con la forma horizontal de la mesa. La configuraci n personalizada tambi n ha incluido componentes especiales de estructura y montaje.
Para la renovaci n de este plat de televisi n, Advanced ha instalado m s de cuarenta pantallas en todo el estudio. Ha construido un videowall, en formato 9 3, as como los equipos que lo flanquean y que est n construidos en 2 4 con pantallas LCD ultradelgadas de NEC.
Las pantallas NEC se ven muy bien en la c mara. Hay biseles delgados en los modelos y eso se traduce fant sticamente en esta aplicaci n. Adem s, permiten un ajuste fino del color. La iluminaci n es diferente en cada estudio, lo que afecta el equilibrio de colores en la pantalla. Estas facilitan la realizaci n de ajustes de color muy espec ficos en cualquier estudio, comenta Greg Priest, senior account manager de Advanced.
Este integrador tambi n fue responsable de configurar el sofisticado sistema de procesamiento de se ales y, para ello, confi en TVOne para incorporar doce conectores en el conmutador del personal de producci n, permiti ndoles enviar doce se ales a varios monitores del estudio. Elegimos trabajar con un procesador de video que era f cil de usar por el personal de producci n. Los empleados pueden dividir las im genes en diferentes ventanas y distribuir el contenido de v deo en una variedad de configuraciones. Permite una flexibilidad total , aclara McPherson.
El nuevo plato, cuyo dise o ha corrido a cargo de la empresa Devlin Design Group, estuvo finalizado para la cobertura del hurac n Irma.
Seg n Bob Longo, director de Informativos de WJAX/WFOX, la nueva configuraci n visual nos permiti contar la historia de una forma m s visual y realista. Cont bamos con veintisiete 27 monitores, dos pantallas t ctiles, otras dos reas grandes de pantallas m ltiples .
El rea de Jacksonville est acostumbrada al clima extremo, por lo que un destacado centro meteorol gico dise ado para una ofrecer una amplia cobertura destaca en el nuevo dise o. El equipo tambi n necesitaba un dise o para acomodar a m ltiples meteor logos con acceso inmediato a la tecnolog a y diferentes reas visuales para explicar mejor la amenaza a su audiencia.
Parte del dise o tambi n incluye una sala donde los espectadores pueden presenciar la acci n. El clima es un gran conductor de la audiencia, tanto para plataformas en el aire como digitales , dijo Craig Davenport, director de servicios creativos de WJAX/WFOX TV . El equipo de dise o de Devlin Design Group ha creado un centro meteorol gico que nos permite mostrar mejor c mo rastreamos el mal tiempo en el norte de Florida .
La sala meteorol gica contiene cinco monitores de 49 pulgadas. Una pantalla t ctil de 80 pulgadas y otro de iguales dimensiones es utilizado para mostrar las ltimas noticias.
