CLANCY COLLINS WHITE NAMED PRESIDENT, CREATIVE AFFAIRS, AT WARNER BROS. TELEVISION

Warner Bros. Television Group

Head of Casting Mele Nagler Elevated to Executive Vice President

BURBANK, Calif. (March 10, 2025) - Clancy Collins White has been named to the newly established position of President, Creative Affairs, at Warner Bros. Television (WBTV), the Studio's flagship television production unit for live-action scripted programming. In this new position, Collins White will continue in her leadership role overseeing scripted program development - including dramas, comedies, limited series, and more - for WBTV. She will also add oversight of casting and research. Collins White reports to Channing Dungey, Chairman and CEO, Warner Bros. Television Group and WBD US Networks, who made the announcement today.

Additionally, WBTV's casting chief Mele Nagler has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Head of Casting. In this role, Nagler will continue to supervise the casting of on-screen performers for all live-action scripted projects produced by the Studio. She will also continue to manage WBTV's team of studio casting executives and supervise the hiring of independent casting directors for WBTV productions. Nagler now reports to Collins White.

Channing Dungey said: Clancy has been an essential part of Warner Bros. Television's success for more than two decades, and I am thrilled that she will now take on an even more prominent leadership role. Storytelling is at the heart of everything we do, and Clancy's taste, collaborative spirit, passion for making great television, and dedication to our artistic partners make her the ideal creative leader for our future. Mele has played an invaluable part in putting together stellar casts for our highest-profile current series. I'm delighted to recognize her outstanding work with this most-deserved promotion.

Clancy Collins White said: Warner Bros. Television has been my home for more than 20 years, and I am incredibly honored by this opportunity and excited to take on this new role. I want to extend my deepest thanks to Channing for her mentorship and unwavering support. I look forward to continuing our work together alongside our amazingly talented teams and the best storytellers in the business.

Mele Nagler said: I am elated to continue calling Warner Bros. Television my professional home. To work alongside the best executives in the business as we support our industry's most talented creatives is a true honor. I cannot thank Channing and Clancy enough for their belief in me. I look forward to our continued collaboration.

In addition to Casting (led by Nagler), Collins White oversees Comedy Development, led by Adrienne Turner; Drama Development, run by Parul Agrawal; and will now supervise Audience & Content Research and Insights, headed by Jeanne Cotton. Dungey continues to oversee Current Programming, led by Vicki Dummer.

WBTV's recent series launches developed under Collins White's supervision and featuring casts assembled under Nagler's purview include the medical drama The Pitt (Max), executive produced by John Wells, R. Scott Gemmill, and series star Noah Wyle, and the basketball workplace comedy Running Point (Netflix), executive produced by Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz, David Stassen, and series star Kate Hudson.

These followed the October 2024 debut of Young Sheldon spinoff Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage (CBS), from Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro, and Steve Holland, and the August 2024 bow of comedic drama Bad Monkey (Apple TV+), from Bill Lawrence and starring Vince Vaughn.

All four series were critically acclaimed and have been renewed for second seasons.

The development team also scored a series order last month for Not Suitable for Work (Hulu), a new comedy from Mindy Kaling, who recently renewed her overall deal with the Studio.

Additional current WBTV series include the Emmy -winning global blockbuster Ted Lasso, Abbott Elementary, All American, Brilliant Minds, The Cleaning Lady, Found, Night Court, Peacemaker, The Penguin, Presumed Innocent, Rescue: HI-Surf, The Sex Lives of College Girls, Shrinking, and You. Upcoming shows include Duster, It: Welcome to Derry, and Untamed, among many others.

Prior to being named to her current post, Collins White served as WBTV's Executive Vice President, Creative Affairs, since 2020. She joined WBTV in 2004 as Vice President, Current Programming, and worked on Jerry Bruckheimer Television's long-running hit dramas Cold Case and Without a Trace. She was named Vice President, Drama Development, in 2007, and was promoted to Senior Vice President, Drama Development, in 2010, and Executive Vice President, Drama Development, in 2019.

During her tenure with the company, Collins White and her team have delivered a number of highly acclaimed signature series, including DC Arrow-verse shows like The Flash and Supergirl, Gotham, The Leftovers, Lovecraft Country, Lucifer, Maid, Manifest, The Originals, Person of Interest, Riverdale, Watchmen, Westworld and many more. Prior to coming to WBTV, she served as Senior Vice President, Creative Affairs, MGM Worldwide Television Group, and before that, she was Vice President, Development, at Paramount Domestic Television. She previously held development positions at New World Television, Four Point Entertainment, Wilshire Court Productions, and Katz/Rush Entertainment.

Nagler most recently served as Senior Vice President, Head of Casting, since January 2022. She joined WBTV in 2015 as Director, Casting, and she was promoted to Vice President in 2016. Prior to being named Head of Casting, she was the studio casting executive on series such as Black Lightning, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, David Makes Man, Kung Fu, Manifest, Queen Sugar, Sweet Tooth, and many more.
