Zylight Debuts White Fixtures at LDI 04

Zylight, a leading manufacturer of innovative LED lighting solutions, will introduce versions of its F8 LED Fresnel and IS3c LED large panel lights housed in white fixtures at Live Design International 2014, which runs Nov. 21-23 in Las Vegas, Nev. Designed for special architectural and staging applications, the new lights will be showcased in the USHIO America booth (1451) during the show and are available now.

White lighting fixtures are popular in the worship market and many other professional environments because they blend in better than black fixtures in conference rooms, churches, and other permanent installations, explained Charlie Collias, senior vice president, worldwide sales. Many sites have been hesitant to adopt LED lighting technology because the fixtures themselves were not aesthetically pleasing, but our new white housings will help churches and other facilities enjoy more reliable lighting with significant power savings.

Available in tungsten (3200K) or daylight (5600K), the F8's LED engine with quantum dot technology provides a cooler, more energy efficient light than traditional Fresnel instruments. It only draws 90 watts, but has close to the light output of a traditional 1000-watt Fresnel.

The F8 has a high CRI (Color Rendering Index) as well as a high TLCI (Television Lighting Consistency Index), and maintains single shadow traditional Fresnel beam shaping through an eight-inch SCHOTT glass lens. With a patented focusing system for spot and flood operations, the fully dimmable F8 offers an adjustable beam spread (16-70 degrees). For portable lighting situations, the compact F8 also collapses to less than four inches thick for easy transport and storage. It is also water resistant (IP54) for use in challenging location conditions, and can be powered by a worldwide AC adapter or standard 14.4V camera battery. Plus, it features full DMX operation, making it an ideal compact choice for venues looking for high quality lighting while staying as slim and unobtrusive as possible.

The white version of the IS3c now offers a choice between a newly redesigned Chimera soft box or a spring loaded pop-up version designed by DoP Choice, which can be custom ordered in white. The fully dimmable IS3c is a wide, high-output soft light with built-in controls for adjusting color temperature, color correction, and Zylight's Color Mode, which produces millions of colors without gels or filters. Ideal for house of worship or rental and staging applications, it can serve as a background color wash light or as a wide soft light, and can be controlled via DMX.

Both lights are equipped with ZyLink wireless technology, which makes it easy to link multiple Zylights for simultaneous remote control. As a result, several F8s or IS3cs can be grouped together and linked for unique lighting scenarios.
