Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment Announces New WB Games San Diego Development Studio(August 27, 2019 Burbank, CA) Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today announced the opening of WB Games San Diego, the latest studio in the WB Games portfolio focused on free-to-play mobile games.
Tom Casey, Vice President and Studio Head at WB Games Boston, will lead WB Games San Diego in tandem with his current role to oversee the development of the new studio. San Diego is an ideal location to attract top creative, technical, and business talent from around the world to focus on creating the next generation of innovative game experiences for the expanding global market.
This new studio is a testament to our continued evolution in the mobile games space, as we have grown to become one of the fastest growing and grossing mobile games publishers due to the tremendous success of our portfolio, including Game of Thrones: Conquest and Golf Clash, said David Haddad, President, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. A large part of our success is driven by our talented leaders, including Tom, and we are looking forward to the games he and this new team will develop to further expand our reach in the free-to-play market.
WB Games has always maintained a high standard of delivering impactful and engaging experiences for our players, and our San Diego location will serve to bolster our free-to-play offerings by creating games that are culturally relevant and resonate with a wide audience, said Casey.
WB Games San Diego is looking to hire in all game development disciplines and invites candidates to apply at careers.wbgames.com.
