VIZ MEDIA ANNOUNCES PARTICIPATION IN 2011 ANIME EXPO IN LOS ANGELES AND SPONSORS THE ANNUAL AX IDOL LIVE EVENT VIZ Media kicks off its summer convention season by announcing its participation in the 2011 Anime Expo , taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, CA, July 1-4. The company will hold an informative panel discussion to detail its upcoming publishing plans and will further sponsor the annual AX Idol event. All attendees' show passes will also be outfitted with special VIZ Media lanyards commemorating the company's 25th Anniversary this year. A variety of VIZ Media anime titles are scheduled to be screened throughout Anime Expo and the company has supplied products for official giveaway and contest prizes. An array of other popular VIZ Media manga titles also will be offered for visitors to enjoy - for free - in the Anime Expo manga library located on-site at the convention.

Attendees can learn more about the company's exciting announcements, as well as newly acquired manga and anime licenses during the VIZ Media Panel, scheduled for Friday July 1st from 4:15pm-5:15pm in Room LP1. Attendees will also get opportunities to win exclusive prizes throughout the panel.

VIZ Media is also pleased to be a sponsor of this year's season of AX Idol. AX Idol takes place Sunday, July 3rd from 12:30pm-3:30pm, and is one of the most attended events at Anime Expo.
